In a lot of his other matches, Lex is usually portrayed as the stronger & more dominant wrestler. I love seeing the reverse in this match! Great to see the muscle man dominated, made to look like a jobber & even pinned at the end! Hot!
That's interesting. I don't know if I can call him like this, but to me, Luger is a typical hero jobber who gets worked over a lot but is dominant only at beginning and end of matches. That's why I find him hot.
I very much agree with you on Lex seeming like a hero jobber who starts strong and again is in control towards the end of matches, but does get worked over quite a bit through most of the middle portions of the match. I think its hot how in this match Lex was so strong and determined but just didn't quite have enough power to overcome his Giant of a opponent. I also feel like Luger was the type of hero jobbers who opponents would often find ways to defeat by cheating, such as hitting him with the foreign object as ref is not looking.
Lex was always an excellent salesman. I loved seeing him double teamed. Facing someone was huge as The Giant is almost the same. Just wish he was in red, gold, blue, or pink.
I agree. I prefer him with bright colored trunks, too. But I think he improved his selling skills and became weaker hero in WCW. It is very hot that he gets groggy in the corner as if he was saying "I'm yours."
As much as I wanted Lex to win every match he had, I enjoyed it more seeing him job and get those big, ripped muscles get worked over... Seeing him sell how easily his muscles he worked hard to build get pulverized and look weak and pathetic was a sight to see. His muscles looked even more exceptional glistening in sweat dominated throughout the match and made to submit to a finisher or humiliated when pinned and laying defeated in the ring.
When I watch matches of heroic hot wrestlers, I want them to win, but at the same time, I hope they get worked over badly. I don't know what you call the strange contradictory desire, and I don't know if that is the desire many people have. But I'm glad to hear you have the one, too.

I'm glad you understand what I meant about "hero jobber". I miss classic matches by hero jobbers. Most of current matches seem to be even.
